Swivel wall mount mirror in the bathroom?

Do any of you have one of those swivel wall mounted mirrors in the bathroom? Do you like it? Lighted or not lighted? The eyesight isn't what it used to be and I'm thinking of adding one. Also what magification did you get? 5X--7X?

I have one. It's lit, I don't know what the magnification is. It was installed by the PO. I thought I would remove it, but it's actually very handy.

Absolutely try one of these. You'll have to pick which side of the sink will be most comfortable. If you're right handed, mount it on the left hand side so you have room to move your right arm. Mine came from Lowe's or Home Depot, but I don't know what magnification. I couldn't get ready without mine now. Love it!

Once you have one it becomes a "must have". Mine has lights but I never turn them on. I think mine is 7X and I got it at BB&B

I have one with a scissors mount. It's by Jerden and it's a 4x magnification. 3x is insufficient, 5x is too close up. Our mirror is unlit, but we have plenty of light around the mirror. We have it mounted between his and her sinks, so that we both can use it - just not at the same time.

I have one and couldn't do without it! I'm far sighted so a 5X works fine and since I have good lighting around my mirror I went with an unlighted style.

Mirrors vary in quality so check them out before purchasing. The best are usually found in bath/plumbing supply stores.

We bought one at Ikea several months ago (one of the few things I've ever bought there). I LOVE it. Out of the way when I don't want it, right there when I do, doesn't take up precious counter space. My one wish is that it adjusted up and down better (I have facial hair issues due to PCOS and need to be able to see my chin/neck as well as my face.) I figure I'll upgrade to a fancier one when we remodel the master suite.

Big tip: Make sure you try out both sides of the mirror before buying (without glasses/contacts if you normally wear them, too). That's actually what led to me getting the Ikea one (that and the really cheap price tag). I could actually see reasonably well on both sides.

I had one in an old house, but never liked it. Here's why: I could not get it to 'move' to the right spot for me to see. I found that a hand mirror did better for me to see. Probably the problem was that mine was not lighted, and had to turn a certain way for the light to shine so I could see well enough. So, be sure to get one that lights up - and will swivel up and down, like pbrisjar says.

Oh suero that is so good looking and I would love to have one. Great for putting false eyelashes on, yep false ones.

I love all that shiny chrome in bathrooms.

Mine's a stand up on the vanity counter, but I got a wall mount for DH, who used to have to put on his cheaters just to shave, poor guy! Now with the swivel mount on the wall, he can see to shave with ease. He just loves it!! I'm thinking about another wall mounted one for my vanity, which is in a separate location from his, but just not sure of the right magnification. They are nice, though, and free up counter space, too.

The mirror is Jerdon model #JP2028C 4x Wall Mounted Extension Mirror. $24.49 at the Jerdon Store.

That looks exactly like the one I paid $10 for at Ikea.

The Ikea mirror is a 2 1/2 x magnification. The Jerdon mirror is 4 x magnification. Other than that, they look the same.
Most mirrors are 3 x or 5x or even 7 x magnification. I fould that 5 x or higher led to visible distortions in the reflection and that 3 x or smaller wasn't enough of a magnification. Not for my eyes, at any rate.
It's best, though, to see for yourself.

I have an 8x, but it is not wall mounted. It is lighted, and BOY! can you see every little imperfections...and I have many.

When we remodel, I'll have a wall mounted mirror installed. Had one in the old house and loved it. Currently have the mirror sitting on a wall sconce that I attached to the wall to get it to just the right height.

I do not sit to put on make-up. I stand at the sink. The non-wall mounted mirrors are always too low for me.
