I live in Saskatchewan and it is freezing cold here wind chill -44C. We don't have the blizzard that ND has. This is perfect weather to stay indoors and Quilt!!

Hi Jean,
Wow...that's cold..we've been having minus 27 and I thought that was bad enough - but it's rising to about zero or so today - up to about 6 or 8 for tomorrow...rain on the way - it should melt some of this snow - it snows again over night/this morning - I'm sick of Winter all ready...

I got the call I'd never have expected this morning.

On the Oregon Coast, they don't get snow but about an inch every 20 years. This morning my mother called to tell me she was snowed in but okay - at her boyfriend's house. She's 88. I told her to stay there since they have heat, lights and food. My Dad is up there laughing!

It's raining in west central Wisconsin--they keep saying it's going to get colder, turn to freezing rain and then snow, but so far it's above freezing and drizzling. I imagine it will get ugly when the temps drop, it's supposed to be double-digits below zero for windchills tomorrow! Glad we got a pile of wood cut, split and stacked yesterday.

We have snow here in Portland Oregon too!
We didn't have any last winter & hardly ever get much.
So the TV stations are going crazy.
We did go out in it early this morning since we have a veterinary hospital with boarders & patients we don't get a choice & that's why we live very close!
It's very pretty but has slowed way down now.
Since we never believe them when the threaten this weather I had to go out & insulate my spickets this morning & add some more bedding to my feral cat's house & defrost the humming bird feeders.
I'd love to hold up in my sewing room but I have a bunch of house cleaning to do first, wah!

Good idea Bill, will give it a try when i finish my work today. The weather in Cornwall. U.K. is lovely today - bright sunshine but very cold, but nothing compared to what you are all going through - we very rarely get snow in this part of the U,K. but we have had lots of hail and heavy rain and some icy roads. I am begining to believe in global warming!!! Well back to the patchwork.

They say it never rains in S.Calif,but it pours,man it pours.And that's what it's doing here today.It's coming down in sheets and in all directions.It's also very windy and my patio swing has been blown upside down and is laying up against the fence.If we didn't have a fence it would be in the neighbors yard.Plants and spinners are laying all over the yard as well,and it's also cold,only 50 something and for us,that's cold.

Fun puzzles ... but too much to concentrate on today! It is cooolllldddd! in Colorado - we were about 4F yesterday & about 10F today. We have snow here in northern CO too. I am recouping from food poisoning so don't know that I feel up to quilting yet. maybe I'll just read a few more posts then back to bed ...

Where are you in Saskatchewan, I'm in Christopher Lake, North of Prince Albert? It's brutally cold here about -30 C right now. Great quilting weather!!!
