It depends. I believe Crane is the best. However, you may say, WOW, that's stuff is expensive. You will get the quality you pay for so be sure to install the best you can afford.

The other half of the job is installation. Ask your installer if he or she installs according to the Vinyl Siding Institute recommendations.

I too am in Ohio and was wondering if anyone had heard of Nailite vinyl siding? I'm looking a a rough sawn cedar texture.

Nailite is injection molded polypropylene, a plastic that requires very accurate installation. Each panel has a temperature mark to be used according to outdoor temp during installation. If you use it, make sure the installer has experience with Nailite.

If installed incorrectly, you'll have a buckled mess on your hands.
