2nd question, if you don't mind. Hubby also wants to replace the lights in the other main bath on the 2nd floor and our first floor powder room. He feels that since they originally all were the same that they should match now. Should they? Or can all 3 be different? All 3 are different sizes, but this new pattern does come in the sizes. I'd do a pair of sconces. Better to have light coming from the sides than one overhead that casts shadows on your face. An installer can close up the overhead, drill the mirror and fish wiring.

There really isn't room for two sinks. You need six feet to provide enough 'elbow room' for two people to use the sinks at the same time.

You don't have to match fixtures in different baths. In fact, you probably couldn't find a designer to recommend that. Builders do it because it is cheap and easy to put the same products everywhere and in every unit.

As for the size, it is clearly a matter of personal taste. However, most women find it practical to have the light coming in at an angle rather than overhead.
