Nottingham Brass Sonoma faucet??? Anyone??

Has anyone heard of Nottingham Brass fixtures. I am looking at the Sonoma because it has a pull down. Does anyone have this faucet or does anyone know anything about the brand????? Am thinking I might not get faucets!!!! Am stuck on what to get. I will have a Shaw 30" sink and am having a hard time finding a pull down with a substantial projection. This one has that, but have never heard of the brand. Don't want any plastic!!!!

Please help Thanks!!!!!!!!!!11

I don't have that particular faucet, but I have three pieces by Nottingham Brass and all are very nice. My plumber drooled if that helps (he likes well made plumbing). The pieces I have are all brass, no plastic visable to me...and he said, after a quick inspection "You spent a pretty penny on these didn't you" so he must have thought they were well made :)

Thanks igloochic. One thing that I am "concerned" with is the price. It is very reasonable compared to like the Kohler and Grohe. In fact, it is less than $300. (I can't believe I am questioning something that is a good price!!!!!!! I must have brain freeze!!!).
Anyway, I am glad to hear that the quality is good. I think I will order it and get it over with........ I love the look of it and the size is workable, especially the spout reach.
Hope all is well with you and your family. You have been a great help...

Hmmmm interesting. How did you find them? Your post, and igloo's endorsement got me looking them up. They ARE reasonably priced and attractive. Is it fair to say ticor is to sinks as nottingham brass is to faucets?
I worry though that they are not common and maybe a plumber would not be familiar with them?

I just did a little search too based on your post and got this hit (which you might have as well). Appears to be a plumber's forum of some sort and doesn't look good there. Just one more resource. I'm in the same boat of trying to find just the right faucet without the huge price tag. I posted a similar post about "Elements of Design" brand just a week or so ago. So wish that I could rely on them as they have some great looking stuff. Maybe no faucet is the right answer!

... bumping this in the hopes others with Nottingham Brass fixtures (apparently only available from SignatureHardware.com) will see it and comment on the quality of the fixtures and/or quality of service from Signature Hardware.

I'm very fond of antique brass - which is pretty hard to find these days and, when available, comes at a premium price I generally can't afford. Many of the Nottingham Brass fixtures are apparently available in that finish - plus I really like the styles better than most of what is available from other manufacturers. The prices are also great but I would love to get some more feedback on their quality before I purchase.

I looked at the link bungalowdawn posted and the negative remarks there are not from anyone claiming to have actually used or even installed any Nottingham Brass fixtures. Read carefully, they all really just say "I'd avoid it because I don't know it." So, given Igloochic's comments that her plumber "drooled over them", it seems possible this MAY be really great stuff that just hasn't yet made a big name for itself.

Anyone else have any experience with them? Or, Igloochic, if you're out there, can you add any more info regarding how long you've had your fixtures, how they've held up to daily use, what finishes you purchased, etc?

    Thanks in advance.

Hmm this appears to be identical to the Premier Sonoma sold by galaxy tool supply. Interesting, but if it really is the same I had a thread here asking about the galaxy version and one person who'd tried it said she returned it.

A couple of weeks ago I visited my mother who happens to live in Kentucky near where Signature Hardware has a showroom. My mom and I went over there to see for ourselves what was up with SH. I had already placed an order for lighting fixtures and lavatory faucets. I live in the deep south and they had already received the order but I wanted to see the place in person since I have many of the same questions you do. I must tell you the lady who helped me could not have been nicer. Her name is Beth if you need to call SH she is a wonderful person. She works Monday, Tues, Friday and Saturday. She helped me with my misgivings. I had chosen something that was on backorder which there is a lot of that going on now as everywhere I go they are hoarding their money and keeping inventory low so anyway, I chose another lighting fixture. It was so much less than the other one and I got it immediately. Nottingham Brass is the exclusive brand of SH so that is why you will not see it in any other store, it is only sold by SH. Maybe the same line is branded by others but I simply don't know the answer to that question. I was happy to see that they are all brass,I have two of the Deco faucets here now and they look fine. I was a little sad to see that the lever handles are a little fatter than they looked in the photo online. No one but me would notice this but my whole love affair with the faucet was the slim lever handle, the one that is a little fatter although exactly the same just gives it a whole different vibe. So I told Beth about my feelings regarding it and she said they would happily exchange it for me and sent me a RM number to send it back for another one of my liking. No problem.

So my experience to pass on is that yes they are a real place, the people could not be nicer there, their things are most likely imports, Nottingham is their own brand so that is why unless you shop at SH you won't be able to find it. They don't sell any other brand of faucets. Their showroom is interesting and large with lots of neat pretty stuff. They seem eager to please and make right what you don't like. Their faucets are not plastic but are solid brass. They ship in a hurry and keep in touch when something is Out of Stock. Recommend..

I bought 2 Nottingham Brass Lucille Metal Lever Handle Lavatory Faucet RS-613ML-BN from SH. I need to replace the valves since they have begun to leak. NO GO. Before you spend money on that brand, try to find parts. Looks like I may be replacing the fixtures. I'm probably going back to good old Delta if I can't get simple parts.
