Any 1 have any info on Great Northern Cabinets

May 20, 2011

I am redoing my kitchen. Started at HD. Not a good experience at all. The "designer" was not a pleasure to deal with in way and made plans that do not fit the dimensions of the room. Went to 3 other places that only do kitchens. One offered Kemper, second offered candlelight but to keep my 10' kitchen under $10,000 in cost of cabinets offered me the shell in particle board. So many say that is fine, so many others say no way.Now the third designer offered a company I have been unable to garner any opinions from. No feed back found from any one who has worked with or had Great Northern installed. They look amazing BUT that is just the showroom 4 foot model. Any ways...n e 1 have any feed back on Great Northern cabinetry? Dealer/designer advised me they were a small mom n pop outfit in Wisconsin.

BTW 1st post, looks like ggrr8t group of posters here!

    Where are you located?

I have Great Northern cabinets in my 10-year-old kitchen. No complaints, although because I chose inlaid doors, I should have gotten slightly DEEPER cabinets. Mine are painted, so I can't comment on stained wood. The interiors are smooth and have worn well. No troubles with drawers; do get full-extension option.

I recognize chisue as a long time name on the forum, and her post was a few years ago but indicated she had used them
