blanco undermounts vs. dual mount. why?

Hi folks,

I'm considering one of the blanco silgranit sinks, which come either in an undermount-only or a version that can be either top- or undermount. The difference seems to be that the undermount-only version has no lip and the other version has a flat lip around the edge with punch-out spots for faucet, sprayer, etc. Basin sizes and shapes are exactly the same. The dual mount version tends to be $30-$50 cheaper.

When I look at them both, it seems like the dual mount version should actually be stronger because of the extra material around the top edge attachment points. Is the only reason to get the undermount-only version the fact that you have a bit more flexibility with hole placement?
