Wedding Shower favors

Just thought I would share with you all what I did for my Granddaughters shower favors. I bought Yellow (her Color) silk rose bunches the cheap kind . Then took all the flowers apart. Using clear melt and pour I dipped each petal into the soap and set on cake racks to drip and set. Once they were set up and dry I sprayed lightly with scent. We bagged then in clear cello and tied with yellow ribbon and they were the hit of the shower and so easy. i now dip all colors and sell them at my booth at the farmers market.

They are best sellers.

What type of scent are you spraying with? I just add fo to the soap base before I dip.

    Hi Jo:
I used to do that too but then began selling so many I wanted different scents so started scenting them after they had set up and dryed. I make my own scent in a small spray bottle with FO and some alcohol then spray very lightly toss them and spray again let dry and package I use a lot of roses because of the larger petals so use rose fragrance. Right now I am doing autumn leaves and spraying with Huckleberry Wine FO or Pumpkin Spice. I get the leaves in little packages in the Dollar Tree and they are a big hit. Another secret I learned is that I take the flowers apart but leave them as the whole petal dip and then cut apart later. It sure goes faster. Since my jobs go from CEO to pot washer it sure saves me time LOL
