I am new here and I was hoping to acquire some wisdom for you nice folks... I currently live in UT and am putting the finishing touches on our new home in Montgomery County, PA. Pricing of the rest of the house's interior upgrades whet according to plan, but I was very surprised by the quote I received to do our back splash. We planing on installing a 3 x 6 glass tile from Daltile on our back splash that will require about 32 sq/ft of tile laid in a brick pattern. We were quoted a little over $30 a sq/ft for installation. This seems extremely high to me for this type of job, especially considering the tile company will also be in the home installing tile in two other rooms. Is a labor rate of $30 per sq/ft normal for this type of job. Thanks for any help!
