Help Needed Picking Out Lamps for Night Stands

I am having a terrible time finding the correct lamps for my nightstands. I don't want to spend a ton of money and trying to keep to a $150 budget for both. My DH wants silver lamps that are similar to our bronze ones. I can't find silver ones that are thick enough. He hates the crystal one from Target I tried out today. I kind of like the crystal but wanted to get input from the experts here. If you don't like the lamp, any suggestions?

I like this one though you'd have to spray paint it. But for under fifty dollars each......

Here is a link that might be useful: JCP table lamp one.

I like the crystal lamp, but I think you need something more substantial there. I love the lamp JGABM found at JCP if you do and would be willing to paint them. The site says the shade is a burgundy color, but it looks red to me.

    Thanks NP.

Mocharoman, Just stopped back to say that's the only one I found at JCP. Not sure where else to shop. I order from JCP often enough to know they are trustworthy and you can return at their stores too.

I love your bedroom by the way. It's gorgeous. Reminds me of a friend guest room that I've always loved. Incase you've not seen her room here you go. It's been on RMS over at HGTV.

Thanks for the feedback. The room just started to come together and it is overwhelming doing it on a budget. My bedding is all discontinued so it's hard to find the stuff I wish I would have bought last year. I am definitely willing to paint lamps. I sprayed a chandelier in my apt a few years ago. I guess I just thought if I was buying a new lamp I wouldn't have to go through the trouble. I have never ordered through jcp online. I am a big fan of free shipping and in-store returns. Off to search for a free shipping coupon or wait until one becomes available.

Would you consider wall lamps instead? I think the finish on these is so pretty, and the arched backplate echoes the arch of the headboard, and the little ball shapes echo the posts a bit.

You could always change the shade by adding some red and black braided trim, or change to a red shade.

Have you looked at your local thrift stores and in Craigslist? I'll bet you could trash-to-treasure for pennies on the dollar if you're willing to paint. Seems like it would be worth hanging out with for a while at least. You can always give up and buy new.

I think you need taller lamps. The ones you posted look too small with your bed. Wall mounted lamps might look good.

I have thought about all of the suggestions....this is overwhelming! I tried a different lamp from Target tonight and think you'll say it's too short again. (Pictures are below) My bed is huge so I know it is going to be hard to find ones that are large enough. I saw some tonight at Home Goods that were gigantic.

Do any stores that offer easy in person returns carry wall-mount swing lights? I worry they might look too dainty.

    Thanks for all the feedback.
