Ceramics and Rustoleum spray paint?

Hi! I have a large/tall grey ceramic vase that I really wish was a different color. :p I'd like to try painting it with the Rustoleum hammered-finish stuff that's meant for metal and even rusty surfaces.

Will this type of paint stick to a 'glass-like' ceramic finish? Would I need to somehow prime the ceramic vase before I spray it with the rustoleum? If anyone has tried using this type of rustoleum paint on anything ceramic, I'd love to hear how it worked! I'd hate to try it only to find that the paint runs on the glossy finish -- at which point I'll have ruined the vase. :p

I thought I gave an answer, I would lightly sand the vase to slightly roughen it & then paint it. Usually I use enamel paints on glass & then let sit for 30 days & they stay on. So that would aid in keeping the paint on the surface. I just used the hammered finish on metal. Let us know how it works out.
