I think it would depend on how much blue is in your gray. I have a gray office (there is a decent amount of blue in my gray), and I had office chairs in the room that were navy/med blue. I didn't like the combo, I just felt that they fought each other. I have since replaced the chairs. Maybe my walls are "too blue" and my chairs are not dark enough to create any contrast. I think that is what was missing in my mix. I'm sure that ugly desk didn't help either LOL! It has since been replaced!

When I think of gray and navy, I think of a classic menswear combo of gray flannel pants paired with a navy wool blazer! So...yes, it will definitely work!

What a print for the wingback with navy, gray and the rust/salmon colors of your pillows which I presume are also in the rug. .

Love BM Hale Navy (looks fab on walls) and yes it will work. Navy and gray are a classic go together. I do wonder about the velvet though!???

The couch looks very taupe grey, so the navy should be great with that.

IMO, tho, I would NOT paint the tv stand navy. I think you will find it will take away from the chair. What about a really dark grey?

Patty, I haven't been able to find anything. The chair will be in front of a stenciled wall, so between the rug, stencil, and pillows, I think there will be enough pattern. I'm not against the idea, just haven't found anything.

les, I wondering about that since the chair and tv stand will be right next to each other. The walls will be BM white dove. One wall will be stenciled with BM river reflections. At least that's the plan right now. I'm so indecisive about this room; I'm sure you guys can't wait until this room is done :)

I'll definately wait until everything is in there before I pain the tv console. I've linked an old thread with pics. the chair will go in the corner by the window.

I think navy & blue is a great combination, and would look really nice especially with the blue in your area rug.
