i think the chair looks great!
but, i am also wondering what the paint feels like to sit on and how well it wears??? or, is the chair mainly "for show"??

I used BM paint that I had on hand. The fabric feels like the fabric used for outdoor cushins. I imagine it will soften over time. Its not for show. I will use the chair in my living room. I would love to paint my sofa but I think that if I did (which is very unlike because I'd be 100yo before I talked dh into it) I would paint everything but the cushioms
Then I would redo the cushions in a velvet.

Feels like leather/pleather...sortof.

The chair is made with a raised? flocked?? design.

In terms of durability, I think paint makes the fabric MORE durable. Only time will tell. I painted a seatee a few months ago. It still looks great.

There's something so wrong about letting a child paint on a sofa, so we've heard. And yet it looks so cool and mommy sounds kind of hip for letting little Johnny do this.

"Little Johnny" thinks I'm the hippest mommy in town - though most of his friends mommies probably think I'm nuts :) BTW...Johnny is only 4yo. How long do mommies stay hip in the mind of a kid?
