How does the drawer work?

I am doing something like this with a drop-down drawer front. Where is the drawer front here? Also, how is the electrical connected? What happens to the cord when the drawer is closed or opened? This is really great looking and effective use of space. (and beautiful cabinetry.

I love this idea as I have a 600 square foot apt and am about to redo the kitchen. This might work... how wide is the desk? Thank you!

You could make it any width that works for you. This was custom-made. I believe it was about 42" wide.
