You will need a scroll saw. However, a decent scroll saw will cost $150+. Kinda expensive for one project.

That cutting can be done with a jigsaw, but the end result will not be as good as if done on a scroll saw. And, less expensive jigsaws do a less nice looking job.

A scroll saw would be the best tool for that job. You may want to consider just buying the letters. Different sizes and fonts are available online. Try a Google search.

Thanks. I just googled scroll saw and see not only do we have one but I have used it. (blush).

For one project why not just use a coping saw.
Works like a scroll saw, but hand powered.
Even uses scroll saw blades.
I have sawed out many projects with one.
