Marvin Infinity in shower or regular Marvin?

I'm updating a shower room with a 12"x18" window in it. I have already replaced half the windows in the house with Marvin AL clad windows in Bronze. Should I stick with the regular Marvin for this replacement or switch to the Infinity? Will it stand up better to the moisture in this room. (present window is 40 years old and has no obvious rot). Window will be completely tiled around.

Infinity doesnt come in Bronze. If it is near a tub you need to make it Tempered glass. You could go with Marvin's Integrity line and paint the fiber glass (it just needs a little prep). Get the Nuber of the Bronze pant, made by Val spar from the distributor and it will match the ones you have. It will be a 3 digit number that you can bring to home depot.

I meant the exterior color is bronze. But what I really want to know is will the Infinity EverWood interior finish, which I plan to stain, stand up to the moisture from the shower better or worse than the pine interior of the AL clad Marvin?

I wouldnt use the staining if the window is directly over the tub (I would go with the all Ultrx option) but if it is just a window in the bathroom It should be fine. Ive been using Marvin product for a long time

We have an AL clad Marvin Casement with stained interior not directly over tub but next to it, just outside the shower curtain. The bathroom does not have a fan to draw moisture out so a hot shower can steam up the whole room. On cold winter nights, the window will have some condensation so we just mop it up at the end of each shower, no big deal.

The window is three years old and seems to be fine. The stain is in good shape, no mildew formation. To compare, we have two vinyl dbl-pane non-Low-E windows in our house and both have mildew problems even though they are not in high-moiosture rooms. We believe low-E makes a difference on the amount of condensation.

The stain we use is "OSMO One Coat Only" from Germany.

If you are really worry about rot, go with fiberglass (Ultrex).

    Good luck.

If Infinity is not available in bronze exterior, there are several other fiberglass window companies that do have that color. So one option is to have that one window in the house be a non-Marvin window; that way you'd still have all of the colors match on the exterior. Comfortline, Pella, and Milgard are some of the other major manufacturers of fiberglass windows. If color on the exterior is not an issue it would make sense to stick with Marvin so they're all from the same manufacturer.
