Has anyone used a rusty or reddish wall color w/ cherry furniture

I wouldn't have thought of this before, but I'm considering a color like BM Potters Clay (or the next-lighter shade, Grazing Fawn) for my dining room. Now that I have finally chosen a color for my LR (SW Blonde) I have finally realized the Stuart Gold in my DR was not working for a few reasons, and while my painter is here I'm going to have him paint that room as well. My choices, given the surrounding rooms and rug/curtain colors, are a green -- but I have soo much green already in my house -- or a color that would be a shade lighter than the "rusty" color of my natural cherry furniture. The color is also in my rug and the curtains. I just don't want the room to end up too monochromatic. Any pics of a color like this w/ cherry furniture? Here is a pic that shows some of my furniture, if that helps.

And a not-great pic of the valance, which was not in the previous pic. This pic makes it look satiny/shiny, which it is not! But it has a color in it that is very close to BM Potters Clay.

Look at Glidden/ICIs burnt sienna or BM suntan bronze.

Thanks Patricia. I actually ended up testing Baker's Dozen, which is a step lighter than Suntan Bronze, in addition to Potters Clay and an Aura color called Milk & Honey. The "winner" was Milk & Honey, which the painters finished today. It looks great. Once the furniture is all put back, I'll post pics.

A couple of months ago, I wandered into an ICI shop to get a sample of burnt sienna. They said there are seven burnt siennas in their master computer, but none is an ICI color. Since I thought it was an ICI color and couldn't refer them to another specific brand, I never got a sample. Sorry to be OT.

I think Burnt Sienna they sell is the Glidden BS but my understanding is that they are one in the same, that ICI and Glidden are now soulmates in corporate amurika :-) It is such a gorgeous color. It looks like it has been baked on the walls. We used the PeptoBismol pink primer and 2 coats of BS. I wish I could have that color again but you know we live, we change and we move on and look back.
