Which Backsplash Accent Piece Looks Best?

I am trying to decide on a backsplash pattern and accent piece to put in my Butler Pantry area. The main kitchen backspash by the sink counters will be standard 3x6 subway style pattern with my travertine desert cream imperial stone. My Butler Pantry is set apart from the main kitchen in an area of its own so I thought I would use the same tile but change the pattern a little and add a central 6x6 accent tile. I have been playing around with tile layouts and have found 2 accent tiles on the web which I think may be possibilities.

Here is the Butler Pantry wall space to be tiled on all 3 sides.

This is a sample pattern layout of the subway tile. I used 3x3 accent tile in the middle as "filler" just so you can get the idea of where the 6x6 accent piece should go, but I don't plan to use these particular accent pieces.

This is the Marazzi Bronze Fruit Medley 6x6 Accent Piece

This is the Daltile Antique Bronze Rosette 6x6 Accent Piece

What do you think? The Marazzi accent piece would blend a little better with my dark cabinets but I also like the rounded design and coloration of the Daltile piece too. Would love to know if anyone has any links to good tile places that would have similar accent pieces I can look at.

They are both gorgeous, but when I saw the second one I said oh wow that is it.
how is that for getting 2 opinions from 2 different people?
Seriously though, they are both great choices.

    Hands down, the second one.

My vote goes to the second one....for the color....but I am not big on "fruit"....do they have something in that color but more the design of the 3rd one?

I really like them both! I'm a sucker for fruit designs but I like the blue-green copper patina of the second.

The second one. The first is too matchy-matchy with the color of the cabinet. The second is too gorgeous for words!

My vote is for the 2nd one as well.

The fruit one reminds me of the look when everyone was into borders in the kitchen and used the fruit patterns. It just looks dated in my opinion.

I like the second one as well. It has a beautiful patina to it.

No fruit! I like the second one :)

Jumping on the bandwagon-- I prefer the second one.

    By far the first one

Both are nice. I like the color of the 1st one, but not the fruit. So my vote is for #2.

    I second the 2nd.

I think it really depends on the colors you are trying to pull in and coordinate.

Next, I think the lone 6X6 piece will be a bit under stated as a medallion piece. I would consider doing the running bond for all of your subway tiles with a pencil rail or other small decorative piece about 2/3 of the way up and a larger medallion.

We found some really nice medallions in the 8X12, 12X12 and 12X16 size we used by Daltile Metal Signatures I believe. We chose one more similar to your choice #2 with a patina/bronze look b/c we were tying in ORBs and greens along with cabinets somewhat similar in color to yours.

Thanks for all the great input! I ordered the Daltile Antique Bronze Rosette piece today. But I am still looking for possibly a tile rope or accent rail to add to it. I will have a better idea when the 6x6 piece comes in. I was a little afraid of going with the larger medallions because I really do want to keep this area somewhat understated. Just thought a small focal point and different tile pattern would add some interest and variance from the basic subway pattern in the rest of the kitchen. The idea is still evolving in my head:) I will post more pics when I get the tile and see if I need to add more "punch" to it.
    Thanks everybody!

I love the blue-green one, although the fruit one is pretty as well. The first one would just fade in.
