What do you think of this period ceiling fan/light?

I hadn't planned on getting a fan for the [1913] kitchen ceiling but we don't have a/c or even a gas stove/vent and the more I think about it, the more I think - if done well - a fan could add a bit of charm to an old (albeit small) kitchen (?).

If any of you have opinions, suggestions or pics of period-looking kitchen ceiling fans (w/ lights), feel free to share here. :)

Theresse - I did an exhaustive search for nice looking period influenced fans and I thought this was one of the better ones. I also like the Hudson Valley Fans - the Beacon & the Woodstock.

Awww, man. I didn't see those fans when I was looking! Yes, I'm whining. I thought i hated ceiling fans. I couldn't find one I could tolerate so I grabbed the plainest one I could find so it wouldn't stand out. I paid a whopping $40 for it. Now I want the Hudson Valley Pelham!!!! And I LOVE that school house fan!

Get it!!!!!

Oooh, I like those Hudson Valley fans!

It's probably a good thing I didn't see those before we installed our lighting. As it were, I had three different fixtures I had to return. Heh.
