Inset Cabinets, Under cabinet Lighing on tracks? Pics?

I have purchased and wired for Xenon under cabinet lighting on tracks. The cabinets are in, and the skins and trim have not been added, but it appears to the cabinet guy that the trim won't hide the xenon strips or lights with the cabinets having finished bottoms (the skins).

Can you share some pics of installed Xenon strips? And are they front or back? I had thought in the front in the upper cabinets and in the back on the under cabinet lighting...Do your lights show or did you add more molding to hide them? I really need to figure this out so we can move forward.

My mom has that undercab lighting at her house- it is mounted on the back side of the uppers, but she has "light rail molding" (about an inch or so wide) and the lights are not visibe unless you stick your head up under there. She doesn't have finished bottoms- there is actually a little recess under the cabinet where the light was mounted. I wish I had a photo so this would make more sense...

Sorry, Ichic. I wish I could help. I did flor. with warm bulbs (T-2's) (California has its own rules and I needed to keep costs down) and I can't see them at all unless I put my head under the cab. My contractor ended up loving them and was dead set on not installing them at all.

He does halogen or xenon pucks. He does build around the light a "skin" (is that what it is called?) of wood. He puts a piece of wood to match the cab under the cabinet and the puck is inserted in it. The wood sits flush with the bottom of the cab. So you can't see the light and it is flush with the trim. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I wish I had a picture to show you. To me, I thought this was extra work for him but he is VERY picky and wants things to look perfect.

You may want to check with the lighting forum. They talk about this stuff all the time. Lots of knowledgeable folks on there.

i love the lights. they provide nice soft even lighting and aren't at all visible. they are mounted on the front.

    LOL Mama thanks :)

And for eveyone else, thanks. The xenon more pics did help alot (or confirmed my problem anyhoo) and the others I did understand since I've spent the last day looking at the bottom of the cabs.

Here's the problem. Omega custom cabinets come with a finished bottom so there's no gap below the cabinet. It then has a trim piece which is lovely, but not deep enough to hide these lights. Pucks would hide well because the bottom piece is basically an applied piece of cherry skin, but xenon are a challenge. So I'm either going to have to add more trim or not apply the finished piece that cost so freaking much :(
