Kohler Karbon and Shaws Apron 30' sink

Anyone have this combination? Can the Karbon reach the sides of the sink? Do they "work" together?

We are days way from starting demo, cabinets are due in any day and I am starting to second guess all my decisions.

Breathe.....

Thank you. I don't know what I would do without this forum.

I cannot comment on functionality, but I think they will look fabulous together! The Karbon is just that little perfect piece of bling atop the classic Shaw - I love classic and unexpected together.

FWIW, we were all set to do this combo (I ended up getting sink greedy and went w/Karbons & 45" Stages) - but I still love the Karbon and the Shaw together.

Hopefully someone else can address functionality in regards to the Shaw (overall, I love that faucet - it is crazy functional and seems to reach everywhere I need for it to go) I just had to give my 2 cents on how lovely they be when brought together. :-)

So if it reaches all sides of a 45" Stages then it seems likely it could reach all areas of a 30" Shaws, right?

Thanks for commenting that you think they would look nice together. I've been struggling with that...and second guessing everything.

For me, the combo would be a little Felix and Oscar.

Felix and Oscar, and will date just as well. :)

(I really love dated kitchens, but many don't. These two items will certainly place the kitchen in time--although a faucet is easy to change out!)

Hi CalifKitchen - Sorry I was not clear, we ended up going with a pair of the faucets for the larger sink. I dropped in a pic below. I cannot imagine you would have problem with reach on the Karbon but cannot comment specifically on that.

Regarding whether they go or not they go together, you have to stay true to what you like - I LOVE classic and modern together. I think the tension is interesting, and seems less dated to me than working within just one more consistent time trend.

Your Shaw and Karbon remind me of the several classic pedestal sinks I have in my house all with modern faucets, I love them together! (But I am also a person who made choices that other people would not have, which is totally cool with me.) And as Fori points out, facuets are easy to replace, you could enjoy them for a few years and later change them out if you get tired of the combo. Just make sure the sink is a keeper! :-)

Thanks Laura. I know faucets are replaceable......but the extra hole in my slabs is not. I do like the unexpected...but I'm thinking now that I might do the Jaclo single lever steam valve with the Shaw's apron and do the Kohler Karbon with my zero radius sink. I'm driving my husband crazy...he doesn't understand why we keep "revisiting decisions we have already made.". What I don't think he gets is that until something is actually purchased and installed, it is still an "option."

Love your Kohler stages sink. I have sink envy. If our cabinets were not already on order, I might have made that change as well.
