it's often recommended to *not* purchase a shaw's online, due to the fact that the individual nature of these sinks makes it more likely that you might get one that's got enough variance or defects that you'll need to return it. that, and the weight adding to shipping charges generally negates any savings you'll see from an online vendor.

unless you're saving hundreds, i'd buy it locally.

If you are in Socal, they have 2nds on the LA Craigslist all the time. I bought my 36" one for $400 brand new, and there is only the tiniest of pinprick in the finish (on the inside wall closest to you so you can't even see it when installed). I don't think I would have even noticed it if I had purchased it from Fergusans.

Do NOT get it from Homeclick. I got mine there. It has numerous defects-black pinprick on the front face, big white pimple on the top lip, one front corner 1/4 inch lower than other, and drain/logo reversed from how it is normally done (they put the logo on the opposite side due to all the defects I just listed, which then switched the drain side, IF one wanted the logo visible). It was too heavy to return, so I negotiated 10% off.

Btw, I called Rohl, and they were most unhelpful. This was during the sink shortage, so maybe that had something to do with the disappointing customer service? They actually described all those problems as "possible" and within tolerances. Sure sounds like a "second" to me!

But I've heard great things here about Home and Stone, and they are just as cheap as Homeclick (and free shipping, no tax).

I'm one of the people who recommends against buying online based on personal experience. I paid $800 local (SoCal); the best price I heard online was $930 with "free" shipping of a 130 lb sink (coincidence that $130 more = 130 lb?). The 1st one I picked up had a visible bow, so I rejected it at pickup.

I searched online and found the best price, then went to my local Fergusons and they were able to match the price.
