Not Sure What To Offer For This Table- Suggestions?

I am seriously considering buying this table for my guest room to use as a nightstand. I just contacted the owner and he is going to send me a link that has more detailed pictures. I know nothing about this type of furniture and I think $95 is reasonable but wanted to check in with you experts here. Take a look and let me know what you think. As soon as I get the link with more detailed pictues, I will post here.

Deb, I'd be in the car with cash in hand. That's just gorgeous. I don't know anything about the type, but think of it this way; you couldn't even buy a MDF/pressboard table at Wal Mart for that much.

    Go get it!

That is a beautiful table. Where is this seller located? The website has some really nice pieces and I am from the Phila area.

    Thanks!

    Yup, go get it NOW!

Very nice. That actually appears to be a radio table from the '20s-30s. The veneer looks to be in good shape and it would probably make a great nightstand. Keep in mind, though, that it may be a little shallower but longer than a traditional nightstand. But for a guest room it should be fine.

30 inch height is same as dining room table -- it might be a bit high for a bedside table. But it's GORGEOUS -- I'd buy it in a minute, and find a home for it somewhere!

Bichonfriz, the table is actually in Columbus, Oh, about 15 minutes from where I live. The company does have a website and ships to other parts of the country. The website is oldwoodmarketdotcom.

So it sounds like you guys think I should offer $95. Is that right? I want to be fair. Isn't a great table! I saw it this morning and fell in love! Jakabedy, thanks for the information, I appreciate it. I admit I know nothing about old furniture, just know what I like if you know what I mean. I'm trying to educate myself but sometimes it is hard.

I have one of those tables. Family heirloom. They are very pretty. If you can't use it as a bedstand I'm sure you can find a place for it. I think $95 is a good price for a table. I don't know pricing in your area for vintage items but I just two months ago saw one of those tables for $30 at an rummage sale in my neighborhood. Not a scratch on it. Original finish. I'm still kicking myself for not getting it. Don't be me. Get it.

Deborah, I adhere to the philosophy that if something "speaks" to you, then you should get it. Old or new, heirloom or ready-to-assemble, if it stops you in your tracks figuratively or literally, then chances are you'll love it for years to come.

I have a few pieces that are junky but that I love, and I also have a few pieces that I love and later found out were higher quality than I thought. I love them all!

At an auction in my town it would fetch at least 300.00
    Get it quick!!!

OK you guys, I'm out the door to go look at it. Wish me luck and thank you for all of your suggestions!!

I purchased the table! We settled on $75 dollars. I need to get my hubby to bring it into the house and then I will photograph and post pictures. It does need some work but overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

    Thanks for the encouragement!!
