Th overstock rug was returned due the the colors being totally off. Rug was nice but not the colors. Make sure to always read the comment reviews posted.

I bought 2 wool rugs a month ago so I haven't had them long. I am impressed with how thick and nice they were for the price. So far so good, there was some shedding when I first got them but not anymore.

    thanks.

The search for the perfect rug is a bit of a pain on overstock. Here is what I got, I have had lots of complements.

I own two, and it's a mixed bag. The one is very thick and has held up great. The other is a bit thinner, but that's not the problem. The problem is that some of the (hand tufted, I think) loops pull out and stick up above the pile. Probably no one else notices, but I've spent way too much time on my hands and knees clipping at those suckers! Have finally given up and just let them be. Wish I knew exactly which rugs, but I have to run now. Will look later.

We have a 5 x 7 wool rug in our entry (in front of the door) from Overstock. It is thick and gorgeous and has held up beautifully. It looks brand new and is over 2 1/2 years old.

I am loving mine. It was exactly as advertised and it is holding up wonderfully. It is in our basement family room. I will go there first the next time I am looking!

I just bought a grey and gold rug from overstock and love it! It is a wool rug and very thick. It does shed a bit and I am hoping that will stop but hear Pottery Barn rugs shed just as much if not more. I still think it is worth every penny I paid for it. I am becoming a huge Overstock fan!

I don't have one but I have noticed they have a rug that looks identical to one at Target. I've been thinking about trying it.

I have 3 overstock rugs. First is Seagrass and was as expected. The 2nd was synthetic and the brown was a bit lighter than pics but that was stated in the reviews so I wasnt surprised. It was for my son's playroom and has held up very well. The third was lighter than i expected. it was ivory and I was imagining tan, but it was a large rug (8x11) so I just kept it.

The difficulty about ordering rugs is the pattern/color might be off so if you are very picky then I might not order from overstock.

I agree with the comments about the colors often not being as pictured on the site. I bought a rug from Overstock and although it seemed of decent quality, the colors were nothing like those pictured (or described by reviewers). I was too lazy to return it so I used it in my closet. It seems to be holding up OK, but it's shedding quite a bit.

I've got a 9x12 Safavieh flat weave wool rug in my living room from Overstock and it's great; colors as described on Overstock and holding its own for over 3 years and 4 cats. Also a Safavieh round rug in my dining room that I almost bought at a local store, chickened out, and later saw on Overstock for less, plus no sales tax. That one still gets compliments too, and is wearing well with no problems after a couple of years.

As others have said, you really need to read the reviews of the rugs, and I've also gone to other websites to look at their pictures of the rugs I've been interested in. I like the Safavieh rugs and can usually find pictures on their site, in the discontinued pattern section. That's why they're on Overstock for such a discount over retail.

Just bought my second one. Love rugs, this buy was to change a bit. Although my purchases are always wool kilims and rustic. The first one is still looking great after 5 years and being washed by hanging outside, spraying down. It is huge, a 10X15 as is the new one. The colors were as stated and shown, they are still as true as when bought.

My second one was not the intensity of colors shown. At first a bit disappointed, but decided the rug was great and a nice change. Wanted brighter colors, the colors are more like denim. Texture is wonderful as it shows the different thickness of yarns used.

I wander through their rugs all the time. Few other sites have the large size available. For the price and little or nothing shipping costs, can't complain at all. Plus their products get here quick. You do have to jump on what is wanted, they can run out before a decision is made. Unknown to me the last rug was the last available and has not shown up again.

No experience with exchanges, but did miss a 20% off by a day on the last purchase. Called them and they honored the offer, plus I just ordered over the phone.

A suggestion. Look at some of the rugs closely. There price is so low and can make wonderful pillow covers, seat cushions, etc. Kilims work great as do other low pile rugs and come in all types of patterns. Check the pile height and weight for an idea as to use for upholstery.

They carry many different brands and weaves so you can't really judge the overall batch. I purchased some inexpensive wool runners from Overstock recently that are good quality and holding up well so I bought another in the set.

But before I bought, I was able to glean enough information from the product description that I could do a search for reviews elsewhere. It's comforting to be able to do that if the reviews on O aren't of good quality.

Can't beat their selection or shipping prices.

I bought two small wool rugs from Overstock and have been very happy with them. I use one in front of my kitchen sink and it gets a ton of abuse. So far it has held up well, vacuums nicely and is super thick and comfortable. It's been there for a couple of months now since I remodeled the kitchen, and I love it.

I agree with everyone else about checking the reviews. I have done a return once from Overstock- not too painful, so I feel like even if I get a dud, I think they'd be good with returns.
