Do you like your single hole faucet in bathroom? Pictures?

16 years ago

We are replacing some old faucets in our MBR bath. Thinking about using single hole faucets - do you like yours? Any problems with them? Our countertop is cultured marble, white on white. If you have any pictures you could share, that would be most helpful. I would say the style we need is "transitional".

    We built our home in 1999, brass was still in for a finish color, we have the Kohler fairfax faucet, it works great, you can even shut it off with your elbow, it looks great on our granite. {{!gwi}}

    Hi sippimom,here's a better picture of our faucet, we had the plumber here this Summer to put in our new toilet, and he noticed that the drain stem at the back of the faucet was sticking up too high, so he did some fixing under the sink, now it looks alot better, it doesn't stick up so high. You asked if anyone has had trouble with their faucets, we've had no problem with our faucets, we have 4 of these faucets, 1 in each bathroom.I think it all depends on which brand that you go with, we went with the Kohler, you can get them in all kinds of finishes. {{!gwi}}

    I love the Fairfax faucet. We have single handle faucets in both of our bathrooms (tho nothing as pretty as the Fairfax), and I wouldn't have anything else. I love being able to easily set and control the temp of the water without having to use two hands.

    One hole w/handle on the side. Very pleased.

    We also have the Kohler Fairfax faucet in chrome -- we have a few! Two in our master bedroom at home, and another one in our bathroom at our summer cottage. We have had the one in our master bath for several years and it still works perfectly, looks great, have never had any problems.

    I don't know what happened to my second picture, but here it is again. {{!gwi}}

    I had four Fairfax single hole faucets in brushed nickel in the bathrooms of my 2001 house and loved them -- used them for 6 years with no problems.

    I wouldn't, however, recommend the Farifax kitchen sink faucet. In mine, the valve diverting from spray to stream seemed to deteriorate with age and needed to be touched in exactly the right place to work.

    Thank you all very much! We thought we would go this route instead of the standard 3-hole faucets but you know how you start doubting yourself and thinking "uh oh, maybe this is a bad idea"??? ;) They just seem like they would be so much easier to keep clean too. I like the Fairfax alot but DH wants something more modern so the hunt continues. If anyone has the Delta Dryden or Arzo, I would love to see pics of them. It's so hard to tell from the websites.

    Hi sippimom, I was just wondering if you have found the right faucet for yourMBR Bath. I'd love to see the picture.

    I have the Kohler Bancroft in my guest bathroom. It has two handles, but is still a center hole. The bathroom is blue/gray with white wainscot and white subway tile, and the faucet is perfect. I wish I'd done the single hole in my master bath.

    I love the look of the "bowls" on top of the counters with faucets. I don't think I've seen them before. Any info would be great!

    Here's ours in the Powder Room. We went with Danze, brushed nickle finish. We have been very pleased since installing it two years ago.

    Thanks everyone! Yes, we ended up getting the Delta Dryden single hole faucets for our sinks. They are lovely and so easy to keep clean. Glad we went this route. Mirror and cabinet hardware next. Almost done....finally!
