I found this forum today while searching for just the right apron front sink for my new kitchen. What a great resource! I believe I have settled on Kohler's Hawthorne Apron Front sink model number K-6534-4. So here is my question: The sink specs indicate that the installation is "tile in" (we do not want an undermount). What does "tile in" mean? Do we have to have tiled counter tops (which we do not want)? I read over the installation instructions and it seemed like there were instructions mainly for tiled tops, but then one small section for solid surface tops-we will be using recycled glass. Does anyone have experience with this sink or with sinks that were tile in but installed with solid surface counter tops? Thank you !!
