Subway tile ideas (3x6) with honed Calacatta marble

Does anyone have any suggestions about what tiles look good with Calacatta marble? My cabinets are not really shiny and the marble is honed.

Any ideas? The marble has lots of taupe, caramel and some grey.

Any help would be appreciated.

My cabinets are creamy white and my island is a mushroom/taupe color.

Thank you!

Sounds like it will be pretty. What color are your floors? I would pick out a shade from the marble and go a tone or two lighter. Sounds like it will be pretty.

Thank you for responding. My floors are pine. What would you advise? I will post a picture later today to give you more of an idea of the kitchen.

    Hi.

Firstly, please post photos as your kitchen sounds lovely!

I had white cabs (BM White Dove) and a creamy honed Calacatta island in my last kitchen (soapstone on perimeter). For backsplash, I used Horus Art Tiffany Crackle in Bianco. Loved it & will probably use them in the next kitchen. Others I've loved are Walker Zanger Gramercy Park and Rixi tile.

    Good luck,

Thank you so much for responding. Great choices. Here are some pictures so far...Please let me know your thoughts.

I am going to use Plugmold and rework the backsplash plugs so that they do not show. I have a coffee garage (to the right of the double oven) where all my appliances that are going to be plugged in all the time will be.

    Katie,

What color in Rixi and Gramercy Park? is the Bianco a little off white?

    Thank you!

    Hi.
    Your kitchen looks amazing!

The Horus Art "Bianco" is the whiter option, but not too stark-there is a creamier option but the name is escaping me.

The Gramercy Park is the "Bone China", I think. Try to google mamadadapaige and see her Gramercy Park backsplash. Love it.

    Good luck!

What a lovely space to work with. I love your slab of
calcutta. Amazing with movement. You must be excited to
    get started.
Here are some ideas to help. And I tossed in a few non
subway. Could not help myself. I have a curiosity about
some of the clever tile shapes out there. I used to think
only subway was the way to go with marble but notice
a few other ideas below and see for yourself the options
    are endless.

My first instinct when looking at your slabs is to get
more and do a backsplash of solid marble like this....

Of course that could be outrageously expensive so perhaps
something a little less dramatic but as gorgeous like this...

Maybe green is not your thing, how about this....

    Back to soft green subways....
