Home Depot has these self-adhesive felt things that come in different sizes. Eventually they wear down or fall off with the dragging, but they last a couple of years, at least.

Yes, I have the felt pads on all my furniture legs. They make the furniture easier to move, too.

I've found them at Bed Bath and Beyond as well. They come in different sizes and are cheap enough that when they fall off you can replace them.

I recommend AGAINST a product called magic sliders that nails into the bottom of a chair leg. The sliders pop off and then a nail head is dragging over the floor-- not what you want. The screw in sliders may be okay, but are expensive and I'm wary. I'll go with felt.

the felt pads keep falling off and leave a dark sticky mark all over the floors- I've used them on both chairs and sofas- looking for a better alternative. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
