what kind of roofing material did they used on this? what is it called?

I am planning to renovate my house and my priority is the roofing> so I need an advice what to use in roofing. The climate in the Philippines is really during summer

The roofing is an architecturally dimensional asphalt shingle. CertainTeed, GAF, and Owens Corning all make comparable products to what was used on this home.

The curved dormer is interesting. Was this difficult to create structurally? Was the roofing for it copper?
