Glass tile backsplash w/o grout

Ok so the contractor's tile guy is here he installed my glass subway tile backsplash and butted all the tiles, It looks amazing but I am worried about the fact that there is no grout. Probably 90% of the wall is completely covered with only a few tiny spots where I can see the tile didn't line up but only if I am inspecting the wall from 4" away. Will I be ok with this set up?

If you don't grout, something will fill those miniscule crevises, especially in a kitchen (unless this is entirely in a non-work area, perhaps?). Splash something up there while cooking and that lovely red sauce seeps between your tiles and is now a permanent stain BEHIND your beautiful glass tile. Eeeew.
