Want to see granite, marble, or a marble sink? Many Pics & a ??

A little bit of activity going on at my house today :)

You might see a little gap here between the cabinet and the counter. That's OK, it isn't really there :) We had the cabinets pushed over a bit because we didn't use a seam here so this huge thing had to be slid in, and we didn't want to risk scratching the cabinets.

Pantry:

AND, not kitchen related but you guys helped pick the slabs, so here are the other rooms:

Upstairs laundry. This stone is AWESOME!

Guest bath (this isn't actually In the bath or placed yet because we haven't yet resolved our tile issues with that bath):

Master Bath. We are having issues here because the faucet is too tall- it will come up too high in front of the mirror and it will obstruct the TV that is inside the mirror. We tried to offset the faucet but the sink is too big. So, we either need to switch the sink or switch the faucet. Any thoughts on a good sink that might work?

The yellow ring isn't in the stone, it's just a piece of packaging:

This piece actually needs to be redone because the sink cut out was made in the center and it needs to be on the side. There's also going to be a matching backsplash. But, in the meantime...

We are VERY happy with our granite installers. We used Imperial Marble and Granite in Lester, PA. They gave us a great price, were very helpful, scheduled the install quickly for us, had a nice selection of stone and did a great job. There was one area where a miscommunication led to a sink cut-out being put in the wrong place (really my fault) and they are remarking it at no charge. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone around the PA area.

So, now we're done with Phase I of granite install. The blue bahia is next and then we're dong with granite :)

WOW! Just stunning. Tell us the names of your stones. I LOVE that blue cabinet too.

One thought on the master bathroom sink - mount the faucet all the way to the side. If the temperature control is on top of the handle and not separate it should be OK. If you do this you want to make sure the faucet will not splash much.

Gorgeous! If I had a laundry room like that I'd almost be happy to do laundry!
Can you tell me the paint color on your kitchen cabinets? I have to decide on a color tomorrow and with all the decisions made so far, this is the most difficult.
I will probably use the eenie meenie miney moe method.
Can't wait to see your kitchen when it's finished.

Check out these blue-grey glass sinks from Kohler as an alternative to your too tall combo.

Here is a link that might be useful: Kohler Nature's Chemistry Sinks

    Thanks guys.

We used statuary marble in the kitchen and for the sink.
The pantry and the master fireplace are Marina Argento marble.
The upstairs laundry room and master bath are Calacatta Cielo.
The dog room is rainforest brown.

Gigi_4321 our paint color for kitchen and pantry cabinets is Benjamin Moore Glacier White. We looked at a lot of paint colors and thought this would look best with marble. We're very happy with it, it is a great color. Good luck selecting yours, I am sure you will pick the perfect one :)

What fun to look at. Love the variety you're introducing and all your colors... The combo of your calacatta cielo and the gorgeous blue glass sink in your MB -- FABULOUS.

    Please keep posting.

P.S. And the TV in the mirror??? Will the mirror swing out?

palimpsest your link didn't work but I googled the sinks. They are beautiful but probably too pricey given the investment we've already made in plumbing. I'll ask my plumbing person to look into getting me a good price. Thanks!

bostonpam the faucet cannot be mounted on the side because the sink is too long and the faucet would be over the cabinet and there would be no way to accommodate plumbing. That was the first suggestion we tried.

sprtphntc, I was and am definitely very happy with Imperial. I was going to email and thank you for recommending them today when I had time. So, thanks :)

oldbat2be, the TV is actually in the mirror. Like this except we have a frame for our mirror that matches our cabinets. The TV disappears when not in use and it just looks like a mirror:

beagles, I found the perfect bathroom toothbrush holder for you:

ok, so it doesn't go with your classy bathrooms. Do you brush your beagles' teeth? The colors go with your dogroom colors :)

(available at flipperusa.com with which I have no affliation or interest other than applauding their dog breed selection)

    cheers

    How adorable mtnfever! Thanks!
Our dog's don't get their teeth brushed (raw fed, don't need it) but I'm book marking the site and once we move in, maybe we can find a place for it in the dog room anyway :)

Wow! I can't wait to see the finished kitchen. I remember seeing your renderings and thinking - well interesting - but it is stunning. Love the blue and the cream cabinets with the marble.
