i had it centered because i didn't know! d'oh!!!

but we moved and are going to do another kitchen remodel and my custom 60" soapstone sink will have 3 drains, set to the back. it doesn't really make a big difference for the sink but as far as using the space underneath in the cabinet...big difference.

our old porcher apron front had it off centered and i could fit a lot of stuff underneath in the cab.

Regardless of whether the sink is soapstone or something else, an offset drain has the following advantages:

- can set down platters, roasting pans, etc. in the sink and not cover the drain.

- having the plumbing not smack dab in the center allows a lot more room under the sink for disposal, cleansers, trash can, whatever.
