Since we don't have many posts, what the heck, wanna see some pics of my kitchen?

I'm on day 2:

oh, and the delivered my cabinets today! Um, there's no room....

They look pretty - what I can see of them, but I can't decide about this door.

    Are we voting?

bmore, sure, I'd love to hear some thoughts on the granite choices, thanks!

What are you thinking for a backsplash....that might help the granite choice!

I love pictures, thanks for posting!

I decided to wait on the backsplash until I had everything else done, so I'm not sure.

I may go with a simple 2 x 4 tile, but I'm keeping an open mind on that until I get a feel for the finished space.

Awesome. Thanks for the pics. We LOVE pictures!

My vote on granite - it's hard to tell without seeing the full slab but I think I like the one on the far right best, followed by the middle.....

Good luck....and thanks for giving us something to talk about.....

    Thanks for the pictures....

I sort of feel like a kid when the power is out, just trying to keep myself entertained. Broke a bone in my foot when I slipped on the ice on Sunday morning, cable is not working since the wires were moved while installing the cork floor on Sunday.....

Anybody else have any show and tell pictures?

I think I like the pic. all the way to the right as well. But I really like all 3.
How do you post pics within the post? I have my new build I can show to keep you entertained temporarily.

gillylilly, what a great space! I love the detail.

Gillylilly--Super pretty, make sure you come back and post when those cabinets go in! I totally want to see some cabinets installed since I am still months away.... :(

Here is my current kitchen. That's the windows over my sink!

    From Menlo Farmhouse

The back of the house where the kitchen/great room will be--and today I got those windows--woo hoo!!

    From Menlo Farmhouse

And not kitchen related, but I also had a bit of the metal standing seam roof put in this afternoon.....LOVE progress!

I like the one on the right followed by the one one the right. I can see the one in the center working if you like very monochromatic schemes. I'm no help!

I love everyone's pics :) That roof is really nice.

annie.zz, LOVE the cabinets!! What are they???

oh, also, I like the one on the far right.

Any of the 3 granite choices will work, but I'll give the first vote for the one in the middle. I think it'll give more depth and detail to your counter top, especially if you go with SS appliances.

Threads with photos are always a plus!

What are the three choices (names) of the granite in the middle and left? Is the middle t.b?

Well if you guys want to see something cute check out my baby, p.s. it's an actual baby ;)

Here is a link that might be useful:

    westchestermom, he's such a sweetie!

sorry - never answered the granite questions...

one on the far right - white spring.
one in the middle - typhoon bordeaux
one on the far left - not sure (they only had numbers) but I think it's something like gold & silver.

Ended up not choosing any of them.... The white spring didn't look like the sample - too much pink in it and not enough beige/caramel.
The TB had the right colors, and I thought I'd tagged the slab I wanted, but it turns out they only tag from the lot, and the ones that they had when I went back had lots more grey than I wanted, and just didn't make me fall in love.

The other one was a ridiculous price.

Now I've got a slab of Namibian Gold on hold and I really like it and I'm probably going with that. It was way cheaper than the TB too, which fits my "overbudget" budget.

westchestermom, he's gorgeous! What a beautiful photo, the lighting is so bless-ed on his sleeping face.

ENJOY, they grow up so fast.

This post is really entertaining. Great suggestion, I love pictures!

Gillylily, Your home looks like it's going to be great. I bet you can't wait. Are you in Canton, MA? I can't remember if that was you or someone else.

Firsthouse: Love that roof. Every time I see one I wonder if it would look good on my house. Looks like you have a way to go, but that post was 2 weeks ago. Are your cabs in??

Westchestermom: Babies are so cute when they are sleeping!! Beautiful baby!!

What a GORGEOUS baby!!! Looks like a little angel!
Abanaie- We are in Canton, MA and so excited to move in.. Hopefully only 2 more weeks.. Appliances are going in tomorrow and plumbing and electric finishing up this week too.. So hopefully we will close by the 15th!

Annie- looking forward to seeing your granite!! so exciting to find something you love AND it is more economical. I fell in love with Typhoon Bordeaux but since we needed almost 3 slabs for my entire kitchen, I had to go with it only on the island and used Absolute Black for the perimeter cabs.. i still wish I could have used it but oh well. still :"like" the black, but LOVE my island!!

    Annie: granite choice finished?

Gilly: cabs in and everything getting down to the wire--send photos!

Abananie: Not even close to cabs--still working on the outside and next the drywall inside...then maybe we will install cabs around mid-Feb. Can't wait to see my kitchen!
