Looks nothing like poison ivy. That said, I have no idea what it is.

It looks a little like Rose of Sharon but not quite... what about a chrysanthemum? Are the leaves pungent? It does look familiar.

Does it seem to be a vine? Is this something you would've planted or a wild plant?

It looks like a vine. The only thing I can think of is Ampelopsis.

Trumpet creeper/vine, Campsis radicans? Wait for a week or two and take another look at the matured leaves.

Okay, the confusion here may be caused by the photo having two vine-like plants (or the new growth and old growth of the same plant) lined up, making them look like one plant ;D

Well, as no one seems to know what this is and there have been some pretty wild suggestions, I'll go out on a limb with a wild suggestion of my own and say that I get a bit of a clematis hunch when I see this. And before you say 'But that looks othing like clematis!' I mean a seedling of a wild species. Over here we have Clematis vitalba as our self seeding native clematis. And the seedlings can look a bit like this. So how about the N American equivalent C virginiana? Anyone like to comment?

Well, the darker, smaller, point serrated leaves leaves could be astilbe, I think. At least they look similar to my astilbe leaves.
But not the bigger lighter colored leaves.

It looks like runoculla. sp. it has a small yellow flower that looks just like it's big brother. I had some several years ago. If thats what it is it is a really nice ground cover. Perennial
