Heating questions

I have an old house (built circa 1890) house in Pennsylvania. It has a finished attic and unfinished basement. It is about 3000 sq. Ft. Of living space. I had radiators that were stolen (except for 2). I obviously either need to replace them or look into getting a different heating system. It has high ceilings, as well.
I've always loved radiators, but see so many different options. (I've even wondered about the underfloor heating on the 2nd and 3rd levels that will be carpeted.) I don't want all of my heat rising to the ceilings, thus baseboard heaters will probably be the best.
What type of heating systems should I be considering? AC is nice, but not required (though it's been a while since I've experienced a PA summer).
Thanks for reading :)
