Which paint colors would you use to compliment this fireplace?
Comments (3)I like the dark blue, but completely understand that it's too dark for the whole room. I use Behr paint also so I'm quite familar with their colors as I've been painting my house. One thing you might consider is to paint the wall with the couch as an accent wall with one of the lighter peachy colors. Try looking at Behr paint in the 200E to 230F range, and see what you think. I think the following would be candidates based on the color I'm seeing on my monitor: --Salmon Tint 200E-2 --Melted Ice Cream 220E-3 --Light Mocha 220F-5 --Sombrero Tan 220F-4 --Suntan Glow 230F-5 I painted my living room the Aloe Vera Thorn green, and while it is gorgeous, it was just too dark so I painted my biggest wall Orange Sherbet, and it brought the room to life. The lighter wall really brightened up the room--here's a picture so you can see how the two colors look together. Excuse the pillow behind my chair. I have terrible insomnia and spend half the nights on the couch so I keep some bedding there so I don't wake my husband when I move out there....See MoreWhich color fire glass should we use in our fireplace?
Comments (6)Yay, one vote for me! I read another post where a designer was recommending gold, to match the flame...now i'm thinking some gold mixed in with the clear might be nice, and the travertine has a hint of goldish tones in it...what do you think?...See MoreWhat color of trim should I use along the fireplace?
Comments (3)I would make the trim the color of the floor - if it's a wood floor, then wood trim....See MoreWhat tile to use around fireplace?
Comments (3)I don’t think shiplap idea would work in your case. First of all you can’t have combustible material near the firebox and if you place a thick mantle then shiplap over it then visually it may not look nice because there will not be enough room left between the ceiling and the mantle. Besides that, there’s not enough wall space on either side of the fire box. I would suggest to go with tile or wood look tile all around the fire box and take it to the ceiling for a seamless look....See Morecaliloo_yahoo_com
