Dave, what differentiates them from epiphyllums?

Nopalxochia is an old name for some species of Epiphyllum, like the Ackermannii.

Nopalxochia was a genus including a few epiphytic cacti with diurnal flowers adopted to hummingbird or bee pollination, all species with flat stems (not leaves). Today is it united with the genus Disocactus.

Epiphyllum has nocturnal white flowers adopted to moth pollination.

"Epiphyllum hybrids" are usually various crosses between Disocactus and Epiphyllum.

I have this guy, which I believe to be Nopalxochia phyllanthoides. Does anyone know if it's self-fertile? It's blooming outside as I write this, and we have bees, tiny hoverfly-like insects, and I even saw a sugar ant marching about a spent bloom.
