No it is not! It is a dwarf fescue mix, installed as sod.

what did you use to keep the grass edged so tight and neat..or is that just the work of a gifted flat spade?

It is most likely just the efforts of a good maintenance contractor using a lawn edger or weed eater. This photo was most likely taken just a day after mowed and edged.
