Perhaps rethink the honey tone with the Kilim beige. You can still go light with your flooring, but perhaps not as orange-y as the honey color. Red oak will also warm over time, and this bothers those who have trouble working a ginger shade into their color scheme. It is possible to use a more neutral light shade these days, such as a light beige.

I am in favor of the no stain option. You will get plenty of color out of the red oak as sooz001 says over time it darkens.
