May I suggest that the house wants to be more mid-century and the shutters are detracting from that? The small vertical window near the entry, the split level, the long brick wall with the planting bed, the retaining wall that curves. These are mid century contemporary features.

Shutters are supposed to size so they would cover the pane - these don't and won't fit well on the wall if they did - I would take them down altogether, plant the planter box with very architectural shaped yellow-green foliage plants at regular intervals against the wall and try a new more contemporary color scheme. The terracotta brick and the earth toned roof are great for earthy camoflauge colors. If you painted the trim all a dark green undertone gray like bm army green

and all the siding a darker neutral - like nantucket gray - the top of the house will seem long and low then . . nantucket gray will work well with the deck in back, the mind will assume they are the same when it rounds the building . . . the army green at all the window sashes will be handsome against the brick, and is earthy enough to work well with the deck finish.

Then you can do your front door in a fun bright tone that signals mid century has arrived. Do change the light fixture on the post and at the front door to something a bit more contemporary - even get LARGE contemporary font bronze finish house numbers and place them along the brick horizontally left justified.

Use bright gold and white with your gray deck - wonderful outdoors. You can pick up graphic sunbrella fabric in yellow and white for summer time cushions, or buy some aluminum outdoor furniture and use krylon to make them all dijon yellow . the yellow/dijon and terracotta are colors you can repeat outside - more terracotta clay planters around the base of the deck. .. plant lots of sunflowers near the curb /at the drive and around back to echo the front door .. have fun with this new sunshine color.

Consider something like native daisy bushes in masses added around the base of the house where the garage runs to the deck .. evergreens behind are okay - but your mature evergreens in the front want to be balanced with something low and bushy and maybe red-orange flowering along under the front bay window . .. .
