    Hi Jeanette,
The silestone looks as good as day one! In this kitchen it is used as an eating top, not a work surface. We did not test for staining as we did with the work surface. It has a nice feel to the hand and has low reflectivity, especially in the charcoal. The clients are enjoying the durable vertical surface and continuity of the peninsula surround.

Thank you for responding so quickly. I love your design. What did you use for the work surface below the cemento eating area ? I am going for white cabinets, dark grey counter tops and still undecided about the floor.

Thank you so much! Our worktop surround is by Hanstone, colour is Aurora Snow. My clients tested a few different samples and that one won for easiest to clean turmeric off of. They are thoroughly enjoying their kitchen and its ease of maintenance. Good luck with your project!

sfskies.. how is your suede silestone counters holding up? i have just ordered mine and nervous about chips and stains.

My counters are still wonderful! The only chip is a tiny one edge alongside the sink where either the steel sink rack or a heavy pan must have knocked it. I doubt that anyone else notices it.

thanks for your feedback sfskies. That's great to know it hasn't chipped that much. I am getting the 1/2 inch thick counters. I don't want a build up. And plus mine will be lighter since its the calacatta hold color so more susceptible to stains.

Sush A - I don't think this type of surface will stain. I have spilled just about everything on it. I wipe down counters with mild dish soap and warm water to remove grease, oil, dried food, etc.
