It could be an aglaonema, like the one behind it in the photo. You can ask at the Garden Clinic forum or the Houseplant forum for revival advice.

Can't see the whole leaf but it could be pothos.

ask in the houseplant forum for advice .. it does not appear diseased nor bug infested.. based on this pic ... so its all about proper culture ...

The shape of the leaves says aglaonema and not pothos to me. They have similar care requirements. If the plant were mine, I'd cut off that piece you have in your hand with a few inches of the stem and try rooting it in water, and I'd take the crown of the plant out of the pot, trim off dead roots and stems, and repot in a smaller container with fresh soil. You might also check at the Garden Clinic and Houseplant Forums for more advice.

I'd say likely Pothos, or maybe even Philodendron. The node spaces seem too long for agleonema.

But seriously, I'd probably just throw it out and start over. It's not worth saving in my view.
