Hi, I was answering another inquiry, when I remembered I had not answered your questions! I apologize. You asked if this is a maple door and what is the stain. This door is made by Jeld-Wyn (sp?) It's a "green" product. And, for the really effective sound barrier qualities, it is filled with wheat! It came in white. I am a faux finisher and often create a "faux bois" - false wood technique. I created the grain on all the doors in our home like this. I don't use a cheater graining tool, just assorted brushes and different colors of glaze that I mix. It's always fun when people look at them and automatically think they are stained wood of some variety. Hope that helps. Thanks.
