Would polished nickel sconces blend with chrome in a bathroom?

Doing a master bath remodel. All shower and sink faucets and cabinet hardware are chrome. Would the Minka Lavery wall sconce in polished nickel (pictured below) work with the chrome finishes I've already purchased? Other elements in the bathroom are white shaker style vanity (vanity below is not mine/will have similar vanity design), carrerra marble top, Kohler archer square sinks (pictured below), Delta dryden faucets (stock picture below). I will have two sconces flanking mirrors over a double sink vanity. Thanks for the help!

There is a slight difference in warmth, with nickel being yellower but I don't think it's a problem.

I don't think that the different finishes are an issue. If you look at the picture you posted however, you will see that the vanity hardware is rounded and the faucets have round features and that is why the fixture matches. I see in your photos the hardware is square and the faucet has streamline squared off features. In this case I would suggest a light fixture with more of these qualities.

I think that fixture works well. It has a square backplate.

Betty Ross Decorating and amberm145, I appreciate your comments. Yes I did select square and rectangular elements - my tub is a Kohler Archer too, and I plan on purchasing rectangular mirrors. For the light sconces, an even better fit would a square backplate with square glass shade? More angular overall then. The Minka Lavery does have a rounded ball decorative detail.

why yes it does amberm145. I should have specified that it was the style globe, style of the base and the style of the attachment to the back plate that I was referring to as being round.

Yes you have it now Jill Wood I was referring to the glass shade and the other parts I just clarified. Very good

    Thanks Betty! I'll start searching.

Gosh, I hope it works out. I just bought cabinet hardware in polished nickel and a bar faucet in polished chrome. I couldn't find a nickel one that was small enough.

Appreciate hearing your opinion J. Robert! I've not had chrome or polished nickel before, so I wasn't educated on the difference before I took the shiny silver plunge and started ordering all my faucets and hardware. I hope I end up liking it once it's all installed.

I think mixing the metals will be fine. I have mostly chrome in my bathroom, except for a brushed nickel door handle and brushed stainless floor register. It's just not an issue. Who looks at every metal finish in one room at the same time anyway? If the shape/style of the elements coordinate, it's not as big a deal as I had originally thought.

I agree with everyone else. It's a non issue

I think of the vanity, mirror, and lights as one unit, so I would avoid mixing chrome and nickel with the faucet and lights. Also, nickel will discolor a bit, kind of like a slight tarnish, which might accentuate the different metals. I buff it off my nickel hardware with a cloth, which works well enough for a small area, but lights might need a polish.

Just another note.... If you have shiny chrome fixtures and can't or don't want to match light fixtures to chrome then don't. If you try to match another shiny material it looks like a wanna be. Go with silver but make it a brushed - something similar but in fact different in its own right and it won't look like a wanna be. Just like the finish on the silver mirror in your picture it is brushed not polished and shiny like the fixtures.

Over the weekend I purchased four of these chrome sconces from Home Depot. Has the square lines and I think it fits with the design. Not as special as the more expensive options, but I like it and it certainly is budget friendly. I appreciate the tip on mixing silver finishes Betty Ross Decorating as I search for mirrors.

I think the new lights are very nice!

You may have not spent a lot, but it looks expensive. The shade is nice and the backplate has extra detailing, as does the spot where the arm is joined to the backplate. Those little touches don't say "Home Depot" to me.

Thank you misformink and may_flowers for the kind comments! The glass shade looks beige in the stock photo but in person on their display, it looks more white.
