Hello A,

The quickest thing you can do is add plants to fill the garden beds. Under the windows a few bushes that grow to about 3-4 feet tall would look good. Then something smaller underneath and in front of them with pops of color. Usually people go with small flowers. On the left side of your house I would plant larger bushes to hide the A/C unit. I've seen 4-6 feet and bigger looking just fine. Also any plants overgrown or dying need to be removed. Looks like some in front of your porch might meet that criteria. Trim or remove, up to you.

I would also consider creating a small retaining wall around the left side of your house to raise the garden bed up to be even across the front of your house. Make sure to re-seed the lawn when the big tree does come out. And have the tree guys take out the stump or look up some home ways to remove it.

Colors won't matter too much as long as the paint is new and done well.

If you're interested in more expensive options you should look at renovations for the porch.
