I need to choose a countertop to match crazy floor
Comments (17)granite on display is way too busy, you need to pick a tone that goes with your cabinetry and the floor, as the floor is a busy pattern. I would definitely recommend doing a co-ordinating plain quartz, no maintenance and a myriad of colours to choose from something that does not fight with all the pattern there. You would regret putting all that money into granite that just makes you want to look away. I don't think that is your goal - make it cohesive and inviting would be where I would be aiming my dollars....See MoreHow to match tile with kitchen countertops
Comments (2)Your countertop have a lot of movement in the so I would stick with something with less pattern. You don’t mention what your style is or what other colors you have in your kitchen so just by going off the countertop it’s self i would recommend either a wood floor in a medium to darker tone so there is some contrast between the floor and the cabinets. Another option would be a ceramic tile also in a medium to darker tone...See MoreReplacing countertop in kitchen and baths; do they need to match?
Comments (4)No, they don't need to match. However, many countertops require the purchase of whole slabs of the material, so if you choose something different for each bath, you will end up with a much higher price (and leftover material) than if you try to use the leftover material from one slab for all of the bathrooms. Just keep in mind that the "average" stone slab contains 45 square feet, and if you can work with that and still manage to have the counters be different colors, then it will work better for your budget too....See Moreneed help choosing kitchen floor to match
Comments (2)Yes, you can use tile with oak. Find a tile that works with your countertop. Buy a sample of any you are interested in so you can see how they look with it. They don't have to match perfectly, but they need to look like they work together colorwise....See Morederk5
