Downtown Montreal Condo Entry, Hall & Living Room

last modified: 10 years ago

This is the entry, hallway and living room of our downtown Montreal condo project. We added three brick accent walls - in the entry, facing the kitchen and in the living room. Together with the hand-scraped re-engineered flooring, we were able to give this cookie-cutter condo an "urban loft" feel. The new interior doors (painted black) and the crown mouldings in the hallway, add visual interest. The before and after photos are also posted for the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.

You've transformed an "area" into what feels like a "room" with lots of interest and character along with functionality. Wonderfully done!

Can you share more about the brick? we were thinking of doing this to add character to our old house. Do you have more brick photos? What product was used to achieve the look? Thanks

@sabra900 - these are brick veneers so they are perfect for interior installation as they are not as heavy but look exactly the same as regular bricks. There are some good photos of the brick on my profile page - look through the Downtown Montreal Condo projects. If I forget to post the info about the bricks please email me through Houzz!

Here is the brick product that we used in this project: http://www.artekstone.com/ProductsBricks.htm (colour Old Montreal). Hope this helps. Good luck from Montreal!

Wow, when I first read that the homeowners were adding brick on some walls, I was skeptical, but the after photos are amazing. I just love the look!
