changing two rooms in to 1

I am trying to change what I think is supposed to be a living room dining room combo into one large living room... but the fireplace is catty corner and there is also a sliding glass patio door I am stumped please help

Hi Stephanie,

Usually with a large space it helps to break it into two furniture groupings. With a corner fireplace, sometimes it helps to place the furniture along the same angle...but it's hard to say without seeing the room. Measuring everything and drawing a floor plan can help you visualize too without having to move the furniture a bunch of times:) Good luck!
