Do you have wood floors in your master bathroom?

There are wood floors in both the downstairs powder room and upstairs full bath (will be rarely used guest bath) in my 1939 colonial. They were never stained, but were covered with vinyl without mastic. Rather than cover these floors with tile, the flooring guy says he can sand them to look like the rest of the oak in the house.

I'm adding a master suite on the first floor and am trying to decide if I should stick with the wood there as well.

I've had wood floors in powder rooms and kitchens for years, so that doesn't worry me. Neither does the wood in the guest bath since it won't be used but a few weeks per year.

If you have wood in your master, how well is it holding up in the wet areas? I'll have both a shower and a separate tub in the addition.

What finish did you use? Tung Oil, wax, WaterLox, poly?

Thanks.
