Looking for flowers to plant by drainage ditch

This is a narrow ditch but it is never dry--there's always at least several inches of water even through the worst of summer. I have planted a type of hardy swamp hibiscus and a lily that likes the very moist conditions as well as a few shrubs. I tried canna and they seemed like they would do well, then something bit them to pieces. Can you think of additional flowers for zone 6 PA that would work next to or almost in a drainage ditch?

I have water iris...actually Louisiana Iris in many colors, they would LOVE a drainage ditch...They can get about 3 feet tall and grow quickly. Pretty flowers, purple blue yellow. The colors are mixed so it would be hard to quarantee a color, but I have had 15 different ones ....
